As Global VP of Growth, Dawen is responsible for creating strategic levers for the company’s growth. This includes leading Copperleaf’s expansion into new industries, building the global partner ecosystem for strategic alliances, and managing the outbound product management and value engineering teams. Dawen joined Copperleaf in 2021 as General Manager of Market Development, where she implemented strategies and processes for pursuing new market opportunities. More recently, she served as Managing Director, leading sales, marketing, customer experience, and operations in the Americas region. She is passionate about helping organizations implement best practices in capital planning to address the growing challenges and opportunities related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), climate resilience, and the energy transition.
Prior to Copperleaf, Dawen held various leadership roles at Boeing, where she launched a portfolio of advanced analytics software solutions, led the data science team, and established the first digital aviation lab. She also served as a management consultant in the UK and Canada, collaborating with FTSE 100 clients across a variety of sectors, including energy, financial services, manufacturing and distribution, and healthcare.
Dawen holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Master of Management in Operations Research from the University of British Columbia. Outside of work, you can find Dawen on the mountains hiking or skiing, travelling the world, and playing ukulele with her daughter.
